Odalia is a New York based artist who makes bright and bold portraits that celebrate natural forms of textiles and fabrics.
Using watercolor pens, acrylic paints, and bold bright mediums, they capture the essence of each collection with a distinctive, personal touch. Often influenced by the intricate forms and textures of clothing- its folds, reflections, and tactile qualities against intentionally minimalist backgrounds, allowing the subject’s beauty, expression, and attire to take centre stage.
In this, fashion is a dynamic language that bridges culture, individuality, and tradition. In many of her works, it allows to communicate emotions and ideas that might otherwise go unspoken.
“Creativity allows me to embrace my full identity, challenge norms, and build work that is emotionally honest, culturally relevant, and rooted in connection. It’s the thread that ties together who I am, what I create, and outlives me.”
